Croesyceiliog at home

A good feisty game in the rain, ended in a close defeat for the home side. 
 
Croesyceilogs discipline let them down in the first half with them accounting for three of four yellow cards in a ten minute spell. 
 
Captain Ross Coughlan opened the scoring with a try following a rolling maul. 
 
The visitors pulled three points back with a penalty but they were finding possession hard to get with the scrum especially under pressure. 
 
Scott Turner scored the opening points of the second half with a penalty to extend the lead to 8-3.
The game turned on its head when Blackwood fell into the trap of playing the game to suit the visitors. 
 
Fair play to Croesyceilog they scored two carbon copy counter attack tries to turn a 8-3 deficit into a 8-13 lead
 
They gained in confidence and saw out the last fifteen minutes to take home the four points.
